This week; the Tre Bicchieri came to San Francisco, in celebration Gambero Rosso’s latest release on Italian wine. This is a guide book; a tasting book; a collection developed over 30 years, updated and celebrated. A publication that rates and promotes 2400 producers, 22000 wines and the families who produce them.
At the celebration, I joined media, restaurant and retail partners in discovering the latest and most historic varietals and producers. Below I have linked two interviews with Italian producers, one from the north and one from the south; each with small businesses and best practices. The wines from Mamete Prevostini and terreStregate are available at fine retailers, select restaurants and via www.villaitaliawines.com the company owned by my friend Lorenzo Scarponi. He has wonderful relationships with small producers and local area businesses. Check out the interviews; and celebrate family businesses across the globe!
